Premium Boarding
At A Better Way to Board, your puppy (or puppy-loving dog) won’t just be tucked away in a kennel waiting for your return. Instead, he’ll live with us as part of the family, receiving 24/7 care and attention. Our goal is to send him home with more skills, greater confidence, improved socialization, and—most importantly—very happy!
(Please note: many wonderful adult dogs do NOT enjoy puppies. Typically, adult dogs who do still enjoy the company of young ones are playful, patient and easy-going. Because of our emphasis on puppies, it can be challenging to accommodate very large dogs and giant breeds, due to the size difference.)
Amenities:
-
- Play all day with other well-socialized furry friends — carefully monitored by a professional dog trainer at our home 24 hours a day. The dogs enjoy both indoors in a comfy, dog-friendly house, and outdoors in a spacious yard.
- Engaging activities throughout the day – like water play in the mini-pool, ramps, tunnels, toys, etc.
- Lots of TLC and belly rubs
- At the end of a fun day, our guests sleep as a pack together in our rooms – a wonderful way for new dogs to bond with each other. Depending on your preferences, some dogs sleep in comfy beds next to their trainer, some enjoy their crate, and a few dogs do find their way up to our own bed (if that is what they are used to).
Boarding Pricing:
$70/night with check out at 10 am (9:45 am Sundays). If 10 am doesn’t work, we have a late check out window from 3 pm-7 pm for an additional $35. If you have multiple dogs the rate is $65/night per dog.
Logistics:
Drop-off/Pick-up hours are 7-10 am & 3-7 pm Monday- Saturday and *7-9:45 am & 3-7 pm Sunday*
When you check in, aim to drop off your dog earlier in the day, if possible. That way the dog has an opportunity to be introduced slowly into the group, have time to play, eat, drink, relax and settle in before bedtime.
***PLEASE NOTE: if your dog attends public daycare/kenneling or dog parks, please allow a 2-week break prior to attending A Better Way to Board.
